Pricing Information
Evaluation costs vary by the type of evaluation, the specific referral question, and the age of the individual assessed. Pricing begins at $1200 for full evaluations.

I also offer screening evaluations. Pricing begins at $450 for these. This type of evaluation is useful if you are unsure about pursuing a full evaluation. It is not as comprehensive as a full evaluation, but the testing required is still significant (typically 1 ½ to 2 hours). Although the screening evaluation is not sufficient for making a diagnosis, it does provide useful information for determining the need for a full evaluation. If the decision is made to pursue a full evaluation after the screening, the payment for the screening goes toward the cost of the full evaluation.
I am happy to provide a free consultation to help determine the right evaluation for you and to offer specific pricing information. A phone consultation can often help in determining the most cost-effective evaluation to answer the referral questions you have.

I do not accept any insurance plans. I can provide a superbill that can be submitted to insurance companies for possible out-of-network reimbursement. A superbill is a receipt detailing the specific evaluation services provided and their CPT codes. I strive to provide documentation that gives you the best chance of being reimbursed by your insurance company. There are also some online services that charge a relatively small fee to help you with the out-of-network reimbursement process. I am happy to help connect you with these services.

I do not accept insurance plans for several reasons. First and foremost, I strive for the highest standard of care. The careful, comprehensive, and individualized approach that I use is difficult to achieve with most insurance plans. Additionally, most insurance companies do not typically reimburse for learning disorder evaluations or evaluations for educational purposes such as determining the need for school accommodations. These would include evaluations such as dyslexia evaluations and ADHD/ADD evaluations that assess educational impact. Insurance companies often only reimburse for evaluations they consider medically necessary and not for evaluations that they consider educational. Many insurance companies would not reimburse for these evaluations even if the provider was in-network. Lastly, some insurance companies will only reimburse if a diagnostic code is provided. Of course, not all evaluations result in diagnoses, and this reality does not fit well with insurance reimbursement processes.

Several payment options are available. The following forms of payment are accepted: cash, check, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit card, Venmo, and PayPal. Although I do not accept any insurance plans, I do accept HSA cards and FSA cards as payment options. I also support several mobile wallets including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
Several payment plan options are available. The total cost of an evaluation can be broken up into smaller payments made over time. Please feel free to contact me about payment plan options.
